I wrote the film during the winter quarter of my sophomore year in college. For awhile I had wanted to make a film that would take place within a dystopian/post-apocalyptic world. I feel like settings such as these, set the table for very emotionally driven stories that are filled with riveting and suspenseful moments. The Fray takes place in the midst of a small settlement of survivors, which meant I needed to create a tangible and real world for my characters considering the story revolved around the world itself. When I settled on the final draft of my script I immediately started to assemble my team and started heading into the early stages of pre-production. A few concept artist's who I'm grateful to call friends, helped me draft out some artwork to better convey the tone and aesthetic of the world.
